What is required to book O&M as my wedding photographer?
To reserve your wedding date I require a 30% deposit along with a signed contract to secure O&M as your wedding photographer.
Do we get all the images you take at our wedding?
No! But I give you the best of the best. O&M shoots thousands of images on a wedding day, and I go through and take out any mistake images, or images with people blinking or making weird faces! We shoot so much because we are seeing a moment unfold and somewhere in that bunch we know we are going to capture an unforgettable photograph for you! The images you receive are based on the number of hours we are with you on your big day, we make sure you get all the most beautiful images to share the story of your full day! O&M never releases unedited photos– the image isn’t finished being created until it goes through the post production (you wouldn’t ask a painter to give you their painting that is only half complete!)
I don’t see many formal photographs on your website or blog, will you shoot family formal photographs at the wedding?
Yes, absolutely! These are some of the most important photographs on the day of the wedding and with some of the most important people on your life. We usually like to schedule 30 minutes following the ceremony to take these images. I don’t normally blog these images, but I know how important they are!
What should we wear or bring to our engagement or portrait session?
I love a clean and neutral look, but also love a pop of colour. It’s important that all the outfits work well together. Check out my Pinterest board on What to Wear to your O&M Session for inspiration!
Can I upload my wedding photographs to any social media sites once I receive them?
Most certainly! In fact, I hope you do! As stated in the contract, it is required to give photo credit to O&M. If you wish to submit your photographs to a wedding blog/site please connect with me first as these sites usually require to have the photographers approval for those kinds of things! Make sure to use the #oakandmyrrh hashtag for Instagram posts – I love checking out what you’ve been posting!
How many hours do you work on the wedding day?
I offer packages from 4 hours to 10 hours. 4 hours usually cover elopements and shorter wedding days, and 10 hours cover from the getting ready to the dance floor party. As you finalize your schedule you may realize you need more time than you signed up for with O&M. You will have the opportunity to add on hours or even upgrade your package up until the week before the wedding. But do not fret, I will help you with the schedule so you fit in everything you want!
What happens if we need you to stay later on the day of the wedding?
No problem, we get it. Weddings require flexibility! We can guarantee to be available last minute to stay for an extra hour if the day gets a bit behind.
Do you offer albums?
Of course! For me, the process isn’t complete until you have your images printed and you can hold them in your hands. You photographs are meant to be held and shown to those that come into your home. I work with the most beautiful production company to curate beautifully unique albums full of your once in a lifetime memories. I offer a few different options and packages – ask me to see more details about these!
Are you available to shoot outside of Toronto?
I shoot primarily in Toronto and the GTA, but I travel outside of this area to capture beautiful love stories. I have photographed weddings in the Muskoka region, North Carolina, Mexico, and Egypt. This year I will be traveling to Jamaica and South Africa to photograph some more love stories and I can’t wait! Travel outside of the GTA is subjected to a travel fee. Ask me more about where you would like to take me! I offer special travel packages to Ireland – my birth place!
Who will be photographing my wedding?
I will be the lead photographer on the day of your wedding and will bring one of my lovely and talented second shooters that I work with often.
When will we get our photographs and album(s)?
You will receive your wedding photographs 8-10 weeks from the wedding day, and 10-12 weeks if you have invested in a premium album.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes I do! I always bring 2 cameras to a wedding, multiple lenses, batteries, flashes, etc.
